Father John Wine Dinner
WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 16, 2024
6 PM RECEPTION - 6:30 PM SEATED DINNER
Owner and Winemaker Nicholas Maloney grew up in Sonoma County and founded Father John Winery in 2010, which showcases fine wines from Sonoma, Napa, and Mendocino. He named the winery after his grandfather, Reverend John Weaver, a renowned Episcopalian priest. Influenced by his time working in France and inspired by his grandfather, Nicholas set out to make wines that remained true to character, accurately reflecting their origin, much like how his grandfather led an honorable and honest life. Father John works with three vineyards: Comptche, Estate, and Vine Hill Road, all known for Pinot Noir. The evening will begin with a passed bites reception at 6 pm, followed by a 4-course dinner created by Chef Hugo and Chef Ruben Ortega. Now a proud Houstonian, Nicholas will join us for the dinner. Come learn about these Californian wines from the owner and winemaker himself! ¡Salud!
